The Brazilian forwards saw off competition in Gerard Pique, Heung-Min Son and Frenkie de Jong to combine the Player of the Week Hall of Fame

Roberto Firmino was termed the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week, introduced by Santander.

The Liverpool forward was included in both goals since the Reds secured a commanding 2-0 lead over Porto in Anfield on Tuesday, putting up Naby Keita to the opener before exploiting residence Trent Alexander-Arnold’s low cross.

Firmino, that overcome opposition from Heung-Min Son, Gerard Pique and Frenkie de Jong to clinch the coveted award, was engaged in 20 Champions League goals since the beginning of last year – no Liverpool participant was involved more.
