24 Jul USWNT success tour: Team declares matches against Portugal at Philadelphia and St. Paul
The World Cup winners will last the parties with games at Lincoln Financial Field and Allianz Field
The U.S. women’s nationwide team has declared World Cup success tour games against Portugal at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and St. Paul, Minnesota.
After the team’s World Cup triumph in France, they’ll embark on that a five-game excursion to observe their fourth domain and second in a row.
The team’s first game, against the Republic of Ireland in the Rose Bowl at Pasadena, California, has been verified for August 3.
Presently there are just two more games on that the calendar, equally contrary to Portugal.
The USWNT will take on the European side on August 29 in Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, before the following game on September 3 in Allianz Field at St. Paul.
The next match will mark the first time that the USWNT has played Allianz Field, which opened earlier this season and will be home to MLS side Minnesota United.
“It is always fun to play with cities which we have not been to this far and with the introduction of this new arena for Minnesota United, it is awesome that we will have to play in St. Paul this autumn at a world-class centre that’s just another indication of the development of football in the united states,” USWNT midfielder Rose Lavelle stated in a news release.
Meanwhile, the game in Philadelphia is going to be the fourth time that the USWNT have played at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.

The U.S. success tour will finish with matches on October 6 and 3, together with the competitions and places not yet been declared.
The roster to the success tour is going to be the same 23 players who made up the group which finally lifted the prize in France following a 2-0 win over the Netherlands in the past.
