USMNT news: Gregg Berhalter’s side place for Uruguay favorable in September

The Americans will finish their preparations for the Concacaf Nations League from the South Americans, that rank fifth on earth

The United States men’s national team will play Uruguay in their next of two friendlies in September, U.S. Soccer has supported.

The September 10 match against the South American country, which includes celebrities like Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani, will happen at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, also are the USMNT’s final game before Concacaf Nations League play kicks off in October. 

U.S. Soccer had announced a favorable against regional competitions Mexico on September 6, that will happen in MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

“We anticipate this challenge from an superb Uruguayan team,” USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter said in a statement. “They have a combination of top-level offensive gap makers and knowledgeable defenders who have collaborated on the entire world stage for ages.

They’ll then play with the 2 countries again in November to finish group stage drama, whereas Canada and Cuba will play each other throughout the September global break.

The winner of each of those four classes at League A will progress into the Nations League semifinal, while the third-place teams will probably be relegated to League B.
