“He is top course and very tough to defend against since he does not just play as a number nine. He goes broad, he goes anywhere. He’s got a great deal of quality and spans well, he is great at headers… what more could I say?”

With Benzema returning to his native France for the Champions League clash he will have the opportunity to catch-up with former Actual goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who changed the Santiago Bernabeu to get Parc des Princes in summer time transfer window.

The Costa Rican’s new manager admits it will be a special reunion for its 32-year old, but is counting on his goalkeeper’s encounter against his former side.

“Obviously it is unique because of him,” Tuchel explained. “He was Real Madrid’s goalkeeper for quite a while and had a good deal of success because team. 

“The goalkeeper position in particular since you need to take responsibility for your errors alone, but he is very powerful emotionally — that is why he played Real Madrid and I am happy he is with us. He is always smiling, he is composed and has a fantastic soul”
