27 Apr PSG news: Thomas Tuchel oblivious of Neymar’s Turin excursion
Reports the Brazilian ventured overseas this week have come as news to the Paris Saint-Germain head trainer
Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel claims to be unaware and unconcerned about reports Neymar created a swift visit to Turin two weeks from the Coupe de France final.
Based on reports in Italy, Brazil celebrity Neymar ventured from Paris to attend an event alongside compatriot and Juventus winger Douglas Costa.
The 27-year old’s apparent traveling overseas came less than a week after returning from a three-month injury lay-off in last weekend’s Ligue 1 victory against Monaco.
His appearance off the seat could pave the way to get a beginning against Rennes in Stade de France on Saturday, together with Tuchel dismissing duty for Neymar’s pre-match moves.
“I don’t know about it,” Tuchel told reporters on Friday.
“I am not his dad, not the authorities, not a detective.
“I am the head coach and he had been at training yesterday with us now. That is it.”
Neymar’s participation in the 3-1 win over Monaco coincided with Edinson Cavani’s return from a hip problem as Tuchel welcomed back the remaining two thirds of the star-studded three.
Kylian Mbappe, a critical figure in their absences, stole the limelight with a hat-trick which enhanced his Ligue 1 tally into 30 targets for this season, becoming the youngest player to achieve the mark.
“He has been a dependable participant, a pivotal participant,” Tuchel stated of this 20-year old France international.
“His standing is growing, he is becoming more important, however I believe he loves it and he is prepared for this.
