PSG struck decade-long defensive low bid to seal Ligue 1 name goes on

The Parisians failed for the third consecutive game to guarantee the outcome required to validate the defence of the league crown

Paris Saint-Germain might need to wait a couple more times to assert the Ligue 1 crown because their current defensive woes resulted in a different blow on Wednesday.

After being battered 5-1 by second-place Lille on Sunday, PSG dropped yet again on Wednesday with another opportunity to claim the name.

This time, it had been Nantes that postponed the parties, making a 3-2 victory on the seven-time Ligue 1 winners to hand PSG their next successive Ligue 1 loss.
