20 Jul Napoli transfer information: Ancelotti anticipating his side to create two major purchases
The Serie A side are linked with a move for James Rodriguez, as they seem to maintain with defending champions Juventus
Napoli director Carlo Ancelotti is hoping that his side will create two more important signings ahead of the transfer window shuts.
Ancelotti has seen his team create one important signing this summer, together with Greek guardian Kostas Manolas coming from Roma for $36 million (Number 32m/$41m).
However, with eight-time defending champions Juventus continued to fortify, with signed Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax this week one of a host of different motions, Ancelotti understands his team should continue to add players too.
Ancelotti, whose side ended in 2nd place last word, 11 points back from Juventus, is anticipating his team to do exactly that.
“There might be two big buys,” Ancelotti advised TV Luna following a 5-0 friendly win over Serie C side Feralpisalo.
“The board cares for this current market,” the Italian lasted. “We have very capable men and women who understand exactly what the team needs. On August 31 we shall be pleased.”
Napoli have been always linked with a move for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, whom Ancelotti handled in the Bernabeu and together with Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti is optimistic a deal could get done, however, has stressed that discussions for its 28-year old could have a”long time.”
Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurntiis stated earlier in the month which Real Madrid’s requirements for the participant were unreasonable.
The bargain was complicated by Atletico Madrid’s interest from the former Monaco man, who won the Golden Boot in the 2014 World Cup.
James himself is considered to be eager to return with Ancelotti.
Along with the Colombian celebrity, Napoli also have been connected with Inter’s Mauro Icardi and Lille winger Nicolas Pepe as attacking alternatives.
Ancelotti is also eager to keep a number of the side’s crucial players out of departing, such as left-back Mario Rui, that began 17 league games for Napoli final term.

“Mario Rui isn’t available,” Ancelotti said. “With [Faouzi] Ghoulam they form a more strong and well-knit pair. He had a fantastic season this past year and we don’t have any intention of letting him leave.”
Napoli continue pre-season preparations on Wednesday with a match against Cremonese, until they accept on European champions Liverpool following Sunday.
