Manchester City news: I’d present my knee to perform Pep Guardiola’s City – Micah Richards

Micah Richards says he’d present his staying healthy knee to get the opportunity to play Manchester City beneath Pep Guardiola.

“I’d present my knee to play Pep’s City,” Richards explained.

“A healthy Micah Richards will be up there but I’m not bitter towards those boys about their success and money.

“A great deal of the older experts – I will not name names – that they want the cash and are bitter about the cash in contemporary football. In my place, Trent Alexander-Arnold is a #100 million footballer now. 

“I’m happy for Kyle Walker, who’s kicked on beneath the best director in the world.”

While Richards’ career ended in disappointment as he fought with a knee injury, he’d lift a league name and FA Cup with City. 

Even though a major admirer of Guardiola, Richards worried that he thrived working beneath Mancini, who spent four seasons in charge in the Etihad. 

“Mancini was incredible. He wanted the very best. Some gamers want to have an arm but he did not care,” Richards explained. 

“He cared for consequences and pushed individuals. Some did not understand how to cope with that. I truly enjoyed someone stating:’You are great but let us enhance you’.

“Lots believed they were readymade celebrities and couldn’t be enhanced. Every participant can improve! It got hard between the players and manager however he won the Premier League and FA Cup, and he’ll always be the supervisor who broke the duck and won the name.”

Manchester City have made a shaky start to their league defence this year after  losing 3-2 from Norwich City on the weekend. 

That end result, along with a previous 2-2 draw with Tottenham, leaves Guardiola’s side five points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
