17 Sep Man Utd transfer information:’Raphael Varane, N’Golo Kante & Kylian Mbappe’ – Gary Neville shows three players he would sign for Red Devils
The former England international considers the Red Devils must sponsor a trio of top-class players to enhance the backbone of their team
Gary Neville believes Manchester United should sign three players to make a greater”spine” in the club, naming Raphael Varane, N’Golo Kante and Kylian Mbappe as the perfect trio.
Components of this puzzle are already set up at Old Trafford, with David de Gea having signed a new contract and Harry Maguire snapped over summer for #80 million ($100m).
United also boast the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford in their positions, but Neville considers more established actors are required.
He advised Sky Sports :”Manchester United, somehow,’ve to discover a spine.
“Look at Liverpool. Fabinho, Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, incredible players, identical with Manchester City’s spine.
“My thing right now is how do Manchester United recruit, at another 12 to 18 weeks, a back pack which can help United’s younger gamers?
“Years ago, United’s backbone were players such as Steve Bruce, Gary Pallister, Peter Schmeichel, Roy Keane, Andy Cole, Eric Cantona.
“The back of the team is immense. The issue with United’s team today, isn’t the younger gamers on the pitch.
“The back of this team is Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and David de Gea.
“Who knows what the likes of Andreas Pereira, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James will end up, they require a backbone.
“If Manchester United get the perfect 3 players in one of the group, they will not be away. It may be accomplished.”
After making those remarks, Neville would later carry to Twitter and indicate that World Cup winners Raphael Varane, N’Golo Kante and Kylian Mbappe are his fantasy selections to fill the 3 spots that he alluded to.
Obtaining such gift won’t be easy, or cheap, with the trio cited by Neville now on the novels at Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

United are working hard to tick the boxes which will deliver future achievement, together with Neville happy to see De Gea devote to new terms through to 2023 and eliminate the distractions that have influenced his game .
He said of the Spanish goalkeeper:”I have to think it is excellent news.
“He has had a challenging time at the Premier League. When players are diverted it will not help.
Post continues under
“He has lost his place at the federal team and made more errors for Manchester United than previously.
“But now he has signed you expect that settles him down and he begins acting.
“Manchester United want a back pack. They have not got a solid, dominant backbone. De Gea may be the beginning of that. However, his performances have dipped lately.”
