The 21-year old, back with the team after impressing with Aston Villa final term, believes he is willing to step up – along with his supervisor waits

Axel Tuanzebe says he is prepared to generate an effect in Manchester United’s first team following an impressive display in their 1-0 victory over Inter in pre-season.

The 21-year old impressed by Aston Villa in the Championship last term since the Birmingham club have been promoted to the Premier League and is convinced he could make his mark at Old Trafford as rumours of a movement for Harry Maguire continue to swirl. 

He believes that director Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s devotion to childhood and his expansion on-loan at the Midlands will serve him well because he seems to play regular first-team football at England’s top-flight.

“The director puts faith in young players and I am all set to play with,” Tuanzebe informed The National at Singapore following the match.

“I have yet another 60 [minutes] under my belt and I will keep going. My season a year ago revealed that I am a far better player than one year ago. Possessing a fantastic trainer to encourage me as a participant and a person assisted.

“I am more mature, my choice making is better, my physicality, building myself at the sport and being a mature participant.

“I am all set to play Manchester United — unquestionably.”

His supervisor appeared to synthesize Tuanzebe’s opinion, describing him as the future of this club.

“Today was an evaluation, we all know that he could play [Championship] degree, and that is why he did not play against Leeds,” that the United supervisor said.

“He revealed he is quite capable at this degree. Axel will be the future of the club.”

Tuanzebe lined up alongside United new boy Aaron Wan-Bissaka in Saturday’s match and was impressed with all the prior Crystal Palace man.

Wan-Bissaka combined United in a #50 million ($63m) proceed in June, also Tuanzebe disclosed he’s already obtained a nickname out of his brand new team-mates.

“You can find out why we paid so much money because of him,” Tuanzebe continued.

“He is a fantastic defender with fantastic feet. He has been strong, he has been made welcome. He is quiet but we will get him out of the shell.

“We call him’The Spider’ because nobody could get him.”
