Man Utd 1 Inter 0: Mason Greenwood reminds Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Ryan Giggs as Red Devils starlet sees loan change ruled out

The 17-year old netted the sole aim of the match as the Red Devils edged out Inter from the International Champions Cup, making him lots of praise

Mason Greenwood has made contrast to Ryan Giggs out of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while also visiting a loan move away from Old Trafford ruled out.

The 17-year old is a product of the Red Devils’ famed academy system.

He’s being tipped for big things and has experienced competitive excursions at senior level.

Greenwood is now using the United squad since they take in pre-season International Champions Cup activity and scored the winner in a 1-0 success over Serie A giants Inter on Saturday.

His screen, which arrived off the back of some other goal against Leeds earlier in the week, has made lots of plaudits.

Solskjaer stated of a thrilling prospect he’s likely to maintain his strategies 2019-20:”The child’s only 17 and he is learning daily training with those boys.

“He has been with us the past couple of months, he has increased in confidence, he has grown in prestige and, like I said before, once you have got players that perform it is hard to keep them out.

“But we have got to keep our toes on the floor with him, he is just 17, there will be ups and downs but he is enjoying his football.

“Mason’s never been on my head to ship out on loan, he is one we must maintain our location, keep him play with him when we believe it is very good for him and in the moment he is alright.

“He reminds me a little bit about the Giggsy narrative, you can not actually send him on loan and for me he is prepared to be in this squad.”

Greenwood is far from the sole emerging ability to be forming a part of United’s future.

Tahith Chong also guessed against Inter, as well as Axel Tuanzebe, whilst summer signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are equally only 21 years old.

Solskjaer added:”You find the confidence at the children when they get moments under their belts and perform very good players.

“They perform team-mates, first-team gamers they’ve perhaps been searching around and suddenly, they are with them.

“They have great ability, all of these, and that I understand they are prepared to do at this level.”

“I thought Aaron was rising and increasing in confidence and is becoming used to his team-mates,” said Solskjaer.

“His operation was a great person, as were many of his team-mates’ performances. Each of the players now can look back on his functionality and state that they were happy.”
