The Tottenham forwards believes the Liverpool guy is among the greatest players on the planet, but queries the claim no one has ever dribbled past him

Tottenham forwards Lucas Moura says that he believes Virgil van Dijk was among the best few players from the world last season, however contested the notorious stat concerning the Dutchman being hopeless to dribble past.

The Dutchman’s enormous performances for club and country this year have observed him thrust to the dialogue for the Ballon d’Or, together with Liverpool teammates Mohamed Salah and Alisson.

26-year old Moura was the protagonist of Spurs’ magnificent Champions League semi-final comeback against Ajax, scoring a hat-trick at Amsterdam, but had to settle for a location on the seat in the closing from Van Dijk and Liverpool.

Moura confessed to being angry at having to begin on the seat, but it was nothing in comparison to the pain of defeat.

“Obviously I got angry,” he explained.  “I wish I’d started. However, I got a lot more mad that we lost.

“We actually believed that we might be winners. And man, it had been hard. I cried a lot after the match. Since it had been close, so close.”
