14 Sep Liverpool news: Frenkie De Jong and Fabinho inspiring Adam Lallana’s transition into a defensive midfielder
The England international has transitioned into a deeper character together with Liverpool as he seems to reestablish himself beneath Jurgen Klopp
Adam Lallana states he has appeared to Frenkie de Jong and Fabinho for inspiration because he experiences a transformation into a deep-lying midfielder.
The 31-year old has become a deeper character this year, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp half-joking the English global could turn in the club Jorginho.
Though that transition hasn’t occurred yet, together with Fabinho loving a spectacular start to the season, Lallana has stated he’s enjoying the movement after trying his hands in the part in pre-season.
The prior Southampton midfielder, who’s always featured as a No.8 or a No. 10, has made only one Premier League look this year, coming on at the waning minutes of a triumph over Arsenal.
And if he’s still awaiting his luck, Lallana says he’s pleased to contribute when called upon thanks to lessons learned while viewing Fabinho and De Jong.
“You get a few of those lads joking about it, however, that demonstrates that you simply play that function quite nicely,” he informed The Times .
“I am still waiting to receive a possibility there. That may, or may not, come, but it certainly interests me.
“I find it quite stimulating since I get more of the ball than I’ve ever had in my career earlier. Occasionally as a No. 8 you’re creating decoy runs, or you’re offering and you do not get the chunk.
“I haven’t gone into it too deeply. Jordan [Henderson] told me that I want to see [Barcelona’s] Frenkie de Jong. How he performs it, he sort of dribbles a tiny bit greater than other sixes would, which clearly brings a little danger but that’s in my match.
“I really do observe the six so today than that which the eight does since I understand that pretty well. What are their moves like?

“I have found myself focusing on Fabinho just a small bit in our very first games and he’s played outstandingly well.”
Liverpool have won all four of the opening Premier League games as they sit atop the league going from the very first global rest of this effort.
Next up to the Reds is a game against Newcastle at Anfield until they start their Champions League defence with a trip to Napoli.
