26 Apr Kevin Mbabu to combine Wolfsburg out of Young Boys
The Korean right-back is awaiting”the experience in the Bundesliga” after agreeing a deal in Germany
Wolfsburg have verified the signing of Switzerland global full-back Kevin Mbabu from Young Boys.
He’s made 28 looks in all competitions this season, scoring and recording three assists.
The 24-year old will combine the Bundesliga club in the conclusion of the year in a deal reportedly worth in the area of $9.2million. )
“I am really excited about this new challenge and the experience from the Bundesliga,” Mbabu informed Wolfsburg’s site after finishing his medical on Thursday.
“The facilities in the club are best for me to keep advancing as a footballer in a high degree.”
Managing director Jorg Schmadtke included:”Kevin Mbabu created an extremely positive opinion on us scouted him reinforced that belief during our talks with him.
“He is especially robust and fast, and he is a player who’ll fit in well at VfL Wolfsburg as a footballer and as a person.”
Mbabu, that has signed up a four-year contract, came through the Servette youth program prior to enjoying a short spell at the Premier League with Newcastle United.
He returned to his homeland in 2016 and has played a significant part in Young Boys winning back Super League titles, finishing the dominance of Basel.

Wolfsburg sit in the Bundesliga, four points away Hoffenheim in sixth – the closing Europa League qualifying place.
They confront Hoffenheim within their second game before matches from Nurnberg, Stuttgart and Augsburg finish their year as they try to mount a late fee for European football.
