Juventus take eighth straight Serie A crown with Fiorentina win

Alex Sandro’s purpose and a personal goal from German Pezzella were sufficient to seal the title with five matches to spare to the reigning champions

Juventus supported their national supremacy in Italy by sealing a record eighth consecutive Scudetto win following Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Fiorentina. 

The Turin giants suffered disappointment in Europe in midweek, dropping to Ajax to crash from the Champions League in the quarter-final stage.
