The former Manchester United and Everton forward confessed he admires the Reds boss
Wayne Rooney showed his respect for Jurgen Klopp, forecasting the Liverpool supervisor an”amazing man” even when he’s presently leading the achievement of Rooney’s main competitors.
Klopp took control of Liverpool at 2015 after rising to prominence as director of Borussia Dortmund, where he won two Bundesliga titles and also a DFB-Pokal whilst attaining the 2012-13 Champions League final.
Then he guided the Reds into the 2015-16 Europa League and 2017-18 Champions League finals, settling for runners-up medals yet again.
The director did eventually get his Champions League trophy, however, since Liverpool triumphed over Tottenham in June supporting targets from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi from the championship finale.
The Reds also finished second at a historical Premier League effort, as Liverpool’s 97 points weren’t enough to eclipse Manchester City’s 98 atop the league.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in the world, Klopp made the compliments of Rooney, even when the forwards’s Manchester United and Everton roots made it hard for him to acknowledge his own admiration.
“Jurgen is a supervisor every participant would love playing with for. You can see just how much pleasure his players have playing beneath him. I met with him once, he’s an awesome man,” Rooney told Sport Bild.
“His only error is that he works for LFC and can be powerful there.
“I have much admiration for Jurgen Klopp and for what he has achieved. Not Just in Liverpool, but also in Dortmund. This man has it. And he’s his best years still upon him.”
Rooney, who won five Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy for a member of Manchester United, is now plying his trade at MLS as a part of D.C. United.
The Liverpool-born forwards transferred into the club at June 2018, signing that a three-and-a-half-year deal with all the American club since he left England for the first time in his profession.
After directing D.C. into the playoffs, Rooney has been appointed the club’s most valuable player and gold boot winner to its 2018 campaign, using scored 12 targets in 21 matches.

This year, Rooney has scored 11 aims in 19 looks for the club, since D.C. now sits in second position at the Eastern Conference.
