Bayern Munich news: Benjamin Pavard expecting large year using the Bavarians after beating Real Madrid at International Champions Cup

The France international is convinced his new side will win prizes once again this year following their 3-1 pre-season win over Real Madrid

Benjamin Pavard states Bayern Munich fans could anticipate a prosperous season and ought not to worry any”small crisis” which comes the way of the Bundesliga champions.

Niko Kovac’s side beat Real Madrid 3-1 at the International Champions Cup on Sunday despite goalkeeper Sven Ulreich’s late red card at Houston, where Rodrygo Goes netted a late free-kick consolation.

There were encouraging signs of progress following Bayern’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal last Thursday, particularly using the DFL-Supercup showdown with Borussia Dortmund currently less than 2 weeks off.

Bayern’s domestic dominance appeared under severe threat in Dortmund last semester, but a strong second half of the year saw them claim the league title for the seventh successive season, in addition to the DFB-Pokal.

World Cup winner Pavard, who completed his move against relegated Stuttgart following the conclusion of last year, believes there’s no reason to be optimistic heading into the new effort.

“We’re strong, we defended well, attacked quite nicely,” he said following the win over Real Madrid.

“We scored three goals. We conceded a goal, that can be bothersome, but it doesn’t matter.

“We only have to remember that we won. We believe better and improved.

“Obviously, it is a really major club, with a tradition of winning plenty of titles.

“We all know that if we lose a couple of games in the summer season, it is a sort of a small catastrophe. However, I do not worry: we actually have an excellent squad and a fantastic atmosphere. It’ll be fine.

“I’ve got a good deal of confidence. There’s a really good atmosphere. On the pitch, we could observe that everybody takes pleasure. We’re making every attempt ”

Bayern face AC Milan and Fenerbahce in their staying pre-season games before assembly Dortmund on August 3 in Signal Iduna Park, using the chance to lift the first silverware of the season up for grabs.

Then they take on Energie Cottbus at the initial round of their DFB-Pokal prior to getting their Bundesliga effort underway in the home to Hertha Berlin on August 16 because they look to secure their eighth title in a row.
