The 18-year-old centre-back became Unai Emery’s third summer signing on Thursday and opened on why he turned Spurs
New Arsenal defender William Saliba has shown that playing “the largest team in England” led to him picking the Gunners over local rivals Tottenham.
The 18-year old finished a #27 million ($34m) proceed to the north London outfit on Thursday, getting their next signing of their day after the season-long loan bargain to get Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Saliba also disclosed that present Gunners midfielder Matteo Guendouzi had his state in the movement, stating:”I talked to Matteo [Guendouzi], I bumped into him in a funfair at Paris.
“That is where I advised him that Arsenal needed to signal me! He softly guided me to come back here and clarified exactly what it was really like.
“it is a huge pleasure to register up for a really, really large English club. This is the largest club in England for me personally, therefore it was a simple choice.
“I did not think twice about signing here, so I am quite pleased.
“You must keep working once you hear a club is considering signing you. You need to keep functioning; that is what I am doing and I am pleased to be signing here.”
The France Under-20 global made 16 Ligue 1 looks for Saint-Etienne final season, and will probably be returning to the club on that a season-long loan as part of this bargain prior to linking up with the Arsenal squad before this 2020-21 season.

When asked why this was the ideal selection for the child, Saliba replied:”It was significant first of all because I needed to establish myself for a second year in Saint-Etienne, until I arrived to try to set myself at Arsenal.
“That is a large club, and if you are here, you want to be prepared.
“I will attempt to have a fantastic time with the club which developed me to be able to be prepared for Arsenal.”
