17 Jul Arsenal transfer information: Gunners in discussions to sign Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos on loan
The Gunners have created just one signing so much this summer but expect to bring the talented Spaniard for their positions for the upcoming year
Arsenal have been in discussions with Real Madrid over a movement for Dani Ceballos.
There was considerable interest from the attacking midfielder out of Premier League clubs this summer, using Tottenham long believed to be his most likely destination.
However Arsenal are pushing to have a deal done for your 22-year old and discussions are progressing over a season-long loan.
Gunners manager Unai Emery is a fan of Ceballos, that would like to get from Madrid to secure regular first-team football.
The Spanish giants have to fully agree to the transfer, but it’s thought manager Zinedine Zidane won’t stop the Spain global from departing the Santiago Bernabeu.
If Zidane give the green light for Ceballos to finish the transfer, it needs to be finalised relatively fast – with Arsenal eager to wrap up a bargain.
The possible move coincides with remarks from Arsenal manager Josh Kroenke – that the son of owner Stan Kroenke – telling fans to be excited about what might come before the closing of this transfer window .
“I’d say’be enthused’,” Kroenke informed Arsenal.com. “There are a couple items that I know our team are functioning on, and a couple of things we finally have on the doorstep.
“Nothing is a done deal before it is a lot, of course, but we understand we have key places we would like to deal with in our group, both today and later on.
“Our whole football operations team have a fantastic grip on that and I have encouraged them to become as expressive as you can.”
Ceballos combined Real Madrid for #15 million ($19m) at 2017 from Real Betis, but has struggled to nail down a regular starting place in the Bernabeu.
The Spanish ensemble are loath to lose on a permanent basis, however, which explains why a loan move to the Emirates seems the possible outcome from the discussions between the 2 clubs.
Arsenal would need to pay a loan fee to choose him to get the year, while also covering his salary which are considered to be roughly #2.7m ($3.3m) annually.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are predicted to come back to Celtic using a third bid for left-back Kieran Tierney.
The Scottish champions have knocked back two supplies for the protector up to now, with the newest being refused over the weekend.
The deal totalled #25m ($31m), that can be known to be Celtic’s asking price, but it comprised several instalments and add-ons that were deemed unsuitable.
There’s confidence at Arsenal which they’ll gradually get their guy, but Hoops boss Neil Lennon has cautioned that Celtic won’t be bullied from the Premier League side.
“We can not do anything about that which clubs do in England,” he explained.
“#50m for Wan-Bissaka is a great deal of cash and we believe that Kieran is a far more seasoned and curved full-back at this juncture in his profession.

“He is an advantage for us and we have a value for your participant and we speed the participant quite highly.
“Thus, disrespectful is the wrong term, but we are definitely not likely to be pushed in any discussions and we are in a really strong position with respect to a range of our resources at the team.
“The club’s evaluation of Kieran hasn’t yet been fulfilled and before we do not have a conversation.”
