Brand New Barcelona signing Frenkie de Jong has stated he seen a”fantasy” move to Arsenal as a stepping stone on how to Camp Nou, but jumped at the opportunity to proceed to Catalonia before schedule.
The Netherlands global midfielder was introduced from the La Liga champions earlier this week after finishing a #65 million ($81m) move from Ajax in January.

“But if you’re able to go right to Barcelona, then you’re right where you would like to be. Quicker than you ever dared to dream”
The nine-cap global, who attracted attention from a host of leading European clubs, such as Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, stated he had always been a lover of Barcelona, however, said he had also admired the Gunners.
“The football which [Barcelona] was enjoying for decades, the gamers who were here, that are still here… Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, I noticed that midfield” he continued.
“And there is Lionel Messi, the very finest on earth, my idol.
“Camp Nou, the scene. Add everything together and it is not so complex that lots of young boys select Barcelona or Real Madrid because their favorite club.
“So did I, though I really thought Arsenal was fairly amazing previously.”
The north London outfit are needing reinforcements in midfield after Aaron Ramsey has been permitted to depart on a complimentary transfer to Serie A champions Juventus in the end of last year.
