Obtaining deals over the point is still proving to be catchy, fewer links into the likes of Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney and Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba, however, Nicholas considers Wenger could help the cause.

The former Arsenal forward advised Sky Sports Transfer Chat Podcast:”Sometimes I’d like to throw a single [an idea] in every now and then, like most of us do.

“It is not just because I am trying to be contentious but Arsene Wenger was from a job for quite a while.

“Currently, Arsenal attempted to maintain him as a manager of football or on the hierarchy since he could help direct us if there was trouble which was going to be there to the club.

“Bayern Munich have experienced [Karl-Heinz] Rummenigge and [Franz] Beckenbauer, Man Utd possess Alex Ferguson, Liverpool possess King Kenny Dalglish.

“We missed on that since Arsene said he wished to have a rest. But he has been out of a project quite a while.

“I’d have only have said:’Well, why not move after Arsene Wenger?’ .

“Wenger still knows the game inside out and people will say’well, he wished to leave Arsenal’.

“Yeah he failed in the time for a supervisor, it was painful since he felt hurt and damaged. However, I still think that he enjoys the club.

“If Arsene Wenger sits in an area with these various players which we’re attempting to entice, if he is sitting in an area representing Arsenal Football Club, I believe we would get more of a state and much more of a sense they can generally bring in these players”
