Arsenal news: Gunners wish to be the best club on the planet – Emery

The Spanish boss acknowledges the Gunners have large plans for its future but advocated perseverance as progress will take some time

Unai Emery needs Arsenal to grow in the best team from the Earth, but the head coach has requested for fans to be patient as the club continues to strengthen and develop.

Arsenal are fighting to get a top-four end in the Premier League, sitting ahead of Sunday’s trip to tenth-placed Leicester City.

The Gunners will also be from the Europa League semi-finals, where among Emery’s former clubs at Valencia lie .

In his first season at the helm,” Emery stated he wished to take Arsenal to great heights, but added that he wants to be given time.

“we would like to get on this club into the stage where we’re the best club in England and the planet, but it’s a very long process,” the Spanish supervisor told the media on Friday. “Sometimes, like now, we will need to discuss patience.

“we would like to play in the Champions League but we understand our procedure should be with patience since there are still another five quite powerful teams with quite good players and quite large performances.”

Together with Liverpool and Manchester City clear on top, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are fighting for both Champions League qualification areas.

And Emery, who’s handled in Spain, Russia and France, stated qualifying for Europe’s elite club competition was the hardest in England.

“The Premier League is the toughest championship in all of the planet,” the three-time Europa League winner claimed. “There’s another nation with this problem to choose the top four locations and perform in the Champions League.

“Perhaps currently in Spain, they have something similar — Valencia are fighting for the best four too, but the greatest teams from the world play one championship.”

Post continues under

With only 1 stage between Arsenal and fourth-placed Chelsea, the Gunners can leapfrog their London rivals with a triumph against the Foxes on Sunday.

If they do this, there’ll be additional pressure on that the Blues to pick up three factors in their after kick-off — a possibly stern clash with fellow top-four chasers Manchester United at Old Trafford.
