Argentina 2-1 Chile:’The Copa’s setup for Brazil’ – Messi slams CONMEBOL’corruption’ and snubs decoration ceremony after reddish

The captain’s expulsion awakened controversy after again over the refereeing and usage of VAR from the contest

Lionel Messi was a conspicuous absence from the Copa America third-place decoration service and blasted CONMEBOL for”corruption” after seeing red in the first half of Chile.

The Barcelona superstar laid on Argentina’s first target on Saturday to get Sergio Aguero to convert, until Paulo Dybala made it 2-0 in 22 minutes.

But minutes after Messi was leaving the area after tangling with infamous Chile enforcer Gary Medel.

While Medel seemed to be the obvious aggressor in their battle, referee Mario Diaz de Vivar revealed both guys the red card players from either side continued to combine the brawl.

Messi was left handed by the conclusion and walked off the pitch, as Argentina held on to acquire the next position play-off 2-1 despite Arturo Vidal’s penalty after half time.

However, if the Argentina team came back out on that the Arena Corinthians turf to get their medals, Leo was nowhere to be seen.

The Albiceleste captain didn’t take some part in the service, following a Copa where he’s hit the headlines more because of his outbursts from organisers Brazil and CONMEBOL compared to his pops on the pitch.

And if he addressed reporters in the arena he found a withering condemnation of this contest’s organisation in presumed favour of their hosts.

“There is not any doubt, the entire thing is put up for Brazil,” he fired, before indicating he paid the price because of his previous outburst from the refereeing of their semi final.

“I expect that the VAR and referees do not play any role in the closing and Peru can compete but it appears hard to me.

“I didn’t need to be a part of the corruption, we should not need to become a part of the disrepect we endured during the Copa America.

“We might have gone farther but we weren’t permitted in the final. Corruption, referees and the remainder stopped people from appreciating the football.

“I always tell the truth and I am honest, that’s what keeps me calm, if what I say has consequences that isn’t my enterprise.

“I believe that what occurred is due to what I stated [against Brazil].

“What I stated last time came back to haunt me. Having a yellow card which has been the end of it”

Messi previously criticised that the playing surfaces in the Copa America after Argentina’s last-eight success over Venezuela, labelling the pitches”black” following having a subdued performance.

However, it was in the aftermath of Tuesday’s defeat He actually let loose, incensed by the collapse of game official Roddy Zambrano to refer 2 punishment calls to VAR in Brazil’s 2-0 success.

“They weren’t better than people. They found the web early and the next goal came from a penalty [to Aguero] they did not award,” Messi informed reporters.

“They [the officials] had reserved a great deal of bullsh*t, but they did not even assess the VAR, that is outstanding.

“That occurred all around the sport. In the very first glance of touch, they mastered in their [Brazil’s] favour and also this type of bullsh*t diverted us from the match.”
